The conference will provide an updated overview of social prescribing approaches based on the arts, within the broader context of complementary medicines. It will also present the results of the first year of activities by Fondazione Verona Minor Hierusalem on the impact generated on the community by the Project* “Il patrimonio storico-artistico delle chiese dei tre itinerari di Verona Minor Hierusalem come driver per l’inclusione, la salute, il benessere emotivo e spirituale.”

Distinguished speakers will include:

  • Pierluigi Sacco, Professor of Economic Policy and Coordinator of the BACH Center – Biobehavioral Arts & Culture for Health, Sustainability, and Social Cohesion – University of Chieti-Pescara, who will introduce the conference theme and delve into the relationship between artistic interventions and psycho-physical health.
  • Antonella Delle Fave, Professor of General Psychology, University of Milan, and Editor of the Journal of Happiness Studies, who will discuss “Towards Sustainable Global Health: Challenges and Opportunities.”
  • Corrado Barbui, Professor of Psychiatry and Director of the Department of Neurosciences, Biomedicine, and Movement, University of Verona, who will present “The Relevance of Health Promotion: From Research to Practice.”
  • Don Riccardo Fangarezzi, Archivist at the Abbey of San Silvestro in Nonantola, who will explore “Ecclesiastical Heritage: Interweaving Meanings for Well-Being.”
  • Sonia Costantini, Color Painter from Mantua, who will present “The Beauty of Art as a Source of Emotion.”

The conference will also present the community impact after the first year of activities and the future prospects of the Project*.
